We are very excited to
introduce Idaho Regional Ballet, formerly known as Eagle Performing Ensemble.
Idaho Regional Ballet (IRB) is a non-profit
organization, an umbrella organization of The Landing Community Center, with
the mission to promote the art of dance and provide excellence in training for
its company members; to provide funding and support to enable performing
opportunities that enrich the education of our dancers and the community; and
to provide the opportunity to work with invited guest teachers and
choreographers.
Idaho Regional Ballet
currently has a Senior Company comprised of 15 dancers, ages 13-18, and a
Junior Company with 17 members. These dancers will have the opportunity to train at a
pre-professional level, learn new choreography, work with guest teachers, and
have additional performing opportunities.
Idaho Regional Ballet is a member of Regional Dance America after going through a rigorous audition process. 13 dancers recently returned from this
year’s regional festival where the students met dancers from other member
companies, took master classes in ballet technique, modern, pointe, variations,
choreography and improv and attended seminars and met with college
representatives, plus had the opportunity to watch performances each night and
perform themselves. The Senior Company will be traveling to Montreal, Canada in
May 2012 to attend the National Festival for RDA, joining with over 80 member
companies from across the United States.
We invite you to join us in supporting the arts,
the cultural experience of ballet, and arts education in Idaho by becoming an
Auxiliary Guild Member of IRB. It
is your support that will build a strong program for the future.
Thank
you!
